Do try this at home.

I challenge you. When was the last time you tried something new?

Like really “out of your comfort zone” new? Like a new: Recipe, Goal, Sport, Activity, Exercise, Routine, Restaurant, Mode of transport, Route from work to home, Food type….

Trying something new can be daunting for many people, though if you start with something small, like a different type of bread/ rice mix, you’ll notice that it can be quite refreshing plus you can get a feeling of success, and even adventure, out of it. Often it’s the small things that count. Thrilling stuff right? Adventurous.

For many, changing your rice/bread type will not sound challenging at all, so for you, I advise to try this:

  • One new type of vegetable per week.
  • Example: To make this a tad easier take the order of the colours of the rainbow, write them down with sufficient space between the colour names to add vegetable names. If you think “well, the rainbow only has seven colours” I challenge you to make a list of all the colours you can think of and rock it.
  • PS. If you were able to make an uber colour list, please feel free to share it with us so you can inspire others as well.

  • Some colours will have many options, probably more than you’d expect so be sure to leave enough space to write down the veggie names you’ve found. Now go buy the new veggie of the week, find two to four recipes with that vegetable in it. This is great because you’ll become more aware of different food types, new recipes and cooking styles.That’s what I call a win, win, win!
